Job description

Fabletics is currently looking for a Senior Data Engineer.
How Do You Fit In?
As a Senior Data Engineer at Fabletics, you will design and optimize scalable data pipelines and models that power the business insights driving our growth. You'll leverage cloud technologies, automation, and modern data engineering practices to transform complex datasets into reliable, high-quality assets. Working closely with teams across Product, Marketing, Finance, and Data Science, you'll translate business needs into robust technical solutions that improve data accessibility, performance, and governance - all in service of making Fabletics a more data-informed, faster-moving company.
About the Team
We're a lean, high-impact Data Engineering team building the data foundations that power measurement, personalization, and product innovation at Fabletics. Operating at the intersection of engineering, analytics, and business strategy, we deliver scalable pipelines and accurate performance insights that drive decisions across the company - from merchandising and member experience to marketing efficiency and supply chain. We move quickly, own problems end-to-end, and build systems that directly influence how Fabletics grows. If you want to build reliable, scalable data systems with real, visible impact, this is the team for you.
What You'll Do:
  • Design and build scalable data pipelines and models using Databricks, PySpark, and SQL to support Fabletics' commerce, membership, and marketing data needs.
  • Integrate and transform data from multiple sources - including e-commerce platforms, CRM, logistics, and third-party tools - with strong quality, observability, and governance standards.
  • Orchestrate and automate workflows using Airflow and CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure using Terraform and support DevOps tasks including deployments, monitoring, and environment management.
  • Optimize pipelines for reliability, performance, and cost efficiency across cloud environments.
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Data Science, Marketing Analytics, and Engineering teams to deliver scalable, efficient data solutions that support Fabletics' pace of business.

What You Can Bring:
  • 6+ years of relevant development experience-in data platform or data engineering-in fast paced environments
  • Extensive experience in data engineering, including scalable pipeline development, data integration, and data modeling.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, PySpark, Databricks, Snowflake and workflow orchestration with Airflow.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD using GitHub Actions and infrastructure automation with Terraform.
  • Strong grounding in data governance, data quality, and compliance best practices.
  • Ability to design resilient data architectures across warehouses, lakes, and streaming systems.
  • Proven skill in translating complex business requirements into effective, maintainable data solutions.
  • Familiarity with machine learning concepts and how they integrate with data engineering workflows.
  • A genuine interest in integrating AI and LLMs into daily engineering work, including agentic development patterns - building autonomous, multi-step AI workflows that enhance data pipelines and engineering productivity - without sacrificing simplicity or code maintainability.
  • Ideal candidate brings foundational AI literacy, including experience using generative AI tools, and a proactive mindset to experiment with new technologies to drive productivity and innovation.
  • Bonus: experience in retail, e-commerce, or subscription/membership business models.

Where we are:
  • This role will be based in our El Segundo Headquarters
