Key responsibilities

  • Build end-to-end production workflows, concept to delivery, tailored to specific brand, agency, and entertainment use cases.

  • Translate real customer briefs into working prototypes and demo boards to demonstrate capabilities.

  • Pressure-test new models, endpoints, and features, developing techniques to advance generative image and video technology.

Job description

You'll work close to the model and close to the craft, and translate between them every day. You're the build engine behind Forward Deployed Creative: you pressure-test new endpoints and features before anyone else and turn what Luma can do into working examples that prospects and customers can see, touch, and copy.
This is a hands-on individual contributor role that expects a professional bar from brands, agencies, or production, so the workflows you build hold up under real creative scrutiny rather than only in a demo. It fits someone who'd rather build the thing than talk about building it. If you're looking for a strategy or management seat, this isn't it.
What You'll Own
  • Build end-to-end production workflows, concept to delivery, tailored to specific brand, agency, and entertainment use cases.
  • Translate real customer briefs into working prototypes that prove what's possible.
  • Pressure-test new models, endpoints, and features, developing techniques that push generative image and video forward.
  • Build demo boards that make Luma's value obvious in a live pitch, and partner with Sales on discovery and demo prep.
  • Build and maintain a library of vertical-specific demos and customer boards that FDCs use to drive adoption.
  • Develop reusable boards, templates, and pipelines, and document what works so it spreads across the team.

First 90 Days
One way the first 90 could unfold.
  • Days 1-30 - Immerse & Diagnose: Learn the models and current endpoints deeply, and see how FDCs and Sales use creative today.
  • Days 30-60 - Ship & Validate: Turn real customer briefs into working prototypes and demo boards used in live pitches.
  • Days 60-90 - Scale & Systemize: Build a maintained demo library and reusable pipelines that scale across accounts and verticals.

What You Bring
  • Deep, hands-on daily experience using generative AI for image and video - you know where the tools break and where they shine.
  • A background in brands, agencies, or film production and VFX, with a feel for how professional creative work gets made and shipped.
  • A portfolio that shows taste, craft, and range across mediums.
  • Speed and a prototyping instinct: you solve creative problems by building.
  • Comfort working alongside Sales and embedded creatives, translating between commercial goals and creative execution.

Nice to Have
  • Experience at an innovative creative agency (e.g. Buck, The Mill) or an in-house tech/brand lab (e.g. Google Creative Lab, Unity).
  • Hands-on experience building with generative AI APIs or integrating AI tools into production pipelines.
  • A public profile as a creator or thought leader in generative AI or emerging tech.
