Job Summary and Responsibilities

CommonSpirit Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga, TN is seeking a Board-Eligible/Board-Certified Internal Medicine Nocturnist to join our well-established hospital-employed group.


This is an excellent opportunity to provide comprehensive patient care within a regional healthcare leader, consistently recognized as the #1 Best Regional Hospital in Chattanooga by U.S. News & World Report for 11 consecutive years (and TN's #4), and holding a consistent 'A' Hospital Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group.


About the Opportunity:

  • Schedule: 158 shifts (including 5 CME days), 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
  • Focus: Inpatient care for adults, no Peds, OB, or Trauma. No codes (Rapid Response Team handles), no after-hours call.
  • Support: Reasonable census, closed ICUs staffed by Intensivists.
  • Key Responsibilities: Diagnose, treat, prescribe, order/interpret tests, and manage discharge planning for inpatients.
  • Compensation: Competitive Base Salary, Commencement Bonus, Quality Incentive Bonus, & Longevity Bonus.
  • Benefits: Comprehensive package including Health/Dental/Vision, 401k with match, Malpractice insurance with tail coverage, CME (5 days off) & allowance, Professional Dues, Relocation
