This is a seasonal position running from June 1, 2026 to July 31, 2026

Position Overview

BTG Active Learning Academy is seeking energetic, responsible, and positive instructors to support our Math & ELA Summer Camp for students in grades K-6. Instructors will deliver engaging, hands-on learning experiences that combine academics with movement-based activities.

This is a great opportunity for individuals in the field of education, child development, teaching, or community service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach math and reading to kids in grades K-6
  • Monitor small groups of students during lessons and practice time
  • Facilitate movement-based learning activities (games, relays, hands-on tasks)
  • Encourage student participation, confidence, and positive behavior
  • Provide one-on-one support to students when needed
  • Setup, organize, and cleanup materials and activity stations
  • Monitor student safety during indoor and outdoor activities
  • Supervise high school staff members and volunteers

Preferred Qualifications

  • Interest in working with children (grades K–6)
  • Ability to teach grades K-6 math and ELA
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Patient, dependable, and enthusiastic attitude

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, and move actively throughout the day
