Job description

Zions Bancorporation's Enterprise Technology and Operations (ETO) team is transforming what it means to work for a financial institution. With a commitment to technology and innovation, we have been providing our community, clients and colleagues the best experience possible for over 150 years. Help us transform our workforce of the future, today.

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer to join our Enterprise Technology organization. This role will design and build internal applications, integrations, and automation solutions that improve productivity, streamline processes, and accelerate delivery across the enterprise.

This experienced Full Stack Developer is a highly skilled full stack developer with experience building modern cloud-native applications and APIs while leveraging AI-assisted and agentic development tools throughout the software development lifecycle. This individual is passionate about automation, continuously seeks opportunities to improve efficiency, and embraces emerging technologies to deliver better outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and support full stack applications that improve internal productivity and business processes.
  • Build and maintain user interfaces, APIs, integrations, and backend services using modern development frameworks and programming languages.
  • Develop automation solutions that eliminate manual effort and improve operational efficiency.
  • Leverage AI-assisted and agentic development tools to accelerate delivery and improve software quality.
  • Build and support cloud-native applications and infrastructure using modern engineering practices.
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and DevSecOps controls.
  • Collaborate with architecture, security, and business teams to deliver scalable and secure solutions.
  • Participate in solution design, code reviews, testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Experience developing modern full stack applications using React and one or more backend technologies such as Node.js (preferred), Java, or Python.
  • Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and integrations.
  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, containerized applications, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred).
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software development practices.
  • Experience applying DevSecOps principles throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Strong experience using AI-assisted development tools and agentic coding platforms to improve engineering productivity.
  • Experience building enterprise automation, workflow, and integration solutions is a plus.
  • Experience with microservices and event-driven architectures is a plus.

This position is currently not eligible for employment visa sponsorship (e.g., H-1B visa). This includes, for example, situations where a candidate may have temporary work authorization while enrolled in school or upon graduation (e.g., CPT, OPT) but would need H-1B visa sponsorship within a few years of employment in order to maintain employment eligibility.

Location:
