Kerberos International, Inc. is an industry leading security company providing services to the U.S. Government. Many of the positions we offer require a Security Clearance (level depends on the position) or the ability to obtain/maintain a Security Clearance as a condition of employment.
The Armed Security Officer is responsible for detecting, appropriately responding to, and providing accurate, complete, and timely written and oral reports and notifications of unauthorized activity, emergency events, safety conditions and other security anomalies within the facility.
This position requires various shifts each week. The perfect candidate will be available to work all shifts, days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications
  • Must be a United States citizen
  • Must have 3 years of security experience within the last 5 years or 3 years of military (active duty or reserve) experience.
  • Must have a minimum 1 year of contract experience including management of a guard force or military/law enforcement equivalent.
  • Must FLUENTLY read, write, speak, and comprehend in both Spanish and English.
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalency.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Identify, report, delay or detain persons who violate rules and regulations, as appropriate and in accordance with policies.
  • Process visitors.
  • Report incidents in accordance with standard procedure.
  • Maintain logs, reports, and files of incidents and occurrences during shift.
  • Observe surrounding environment.
  • Control vehicle access and deliveries.
  • Conduct patrols.
  • Observe, detect, respond to and report on potential or actual security violations.

Physical Demands
  • Endure frequent and prolonged walking, standing, sitting, and stooping, up to 12 ours per day, indoors or outdoors, during the daytime or nighttime.
  • Withstand extreme heat, humidity, cold and/or severe weather conditions.
  • Ability to remain on post up to 4 consecutive hours without sitting, eating, etc.
  • Ability to remain alert for up to 12 hours
