We are on a journey of continuous growth - now looking for our next star - a passionate Injection Molding Process Technician.
This role will support blow mold or injection manufacturing department(s), attending daily critical machines, support mold set-up team, material, and resin team.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provides support to production to improve process and metrics.
  • Attends Critical machine daily and auxiliary equipment.
  • Performs foam fixture startup, troubleshoots, and maintains during production.
  • Troubleshoots problems with blow mold/injection machines and peripheral equipment and takes corrective actions
  • Follows Lockdown Process Sheets, Procedures, Visual aids, and Instructions.
  • Works closely with Production Supervisors and Operations personnel to achieve and maintain departmental goals.
  • Maintains and improves safety and quality (safety devices, guarding equipment, spare parts list, set-up instructions, and troubleshooting protocol.
  • Prepare reports and data collection as directed by immediate supervisor.
  • Operates forklifts and cranes to replace molds.
  • Starts/shuts down machines, Responsible for machine adjustments.
  • Works with Senior technicians to conducts minor repairs and changes inserts.

  • Ensures safe working practices are followed and all accidents, hazards, near misses, and property damage are reported in a timely manner.
  • Ensure work area(s) are maintained in a clean and organized manner.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications
A suitable background would be a solid experience within the following qualifications and experiences:
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalency.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years in plastics manufacturing, mold set-up, or continuous extrusion Blow Mold/Injection.
  • Knowledge of Thermolators, grinders, blenders, and liquid additive pumps.
  • Experience working on Graham, Sterling, Milacron Blow Mold machines, Injection Mold Machines, or similar equipment.
  • Flexibility to working multiple shifts and weekends
  • English Language Skills: Able to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
  • Math Skills: Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
  • Physical Demands: Able to lift a maximum of 50 lbs. multiple times a day during a 12-hr. shift; Bend and stand in difficult positions up to 12 hours; Able to manipulate tools with both hands and stand for long hours.
  • Work Environment: Manufacturing area hot and humid in summer months, cold in winter months. High noise requiring use of hearing protection.

Standing & Walking
Roles may involve extended periods (up to 12 hours) of standing and walking, including moving at a brisk pace and occasional stair climbing.
Postural Requirements
Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and working in low or awkward positions during production or maintenance tasks.
Lifting & Material Handling
  • Operator-level roles may involve lifting up to 25 lb repeatedly throughout the shift.
  • Technician-level roles may involve lifting up to 50 lb multiple times per day, including overhead lifts.
  • Where possible, mechanical aids (e.g., hoists, forklifts) are used.

Fine Motor Skills & Tool Use
Use of both hands is required to operate tools, perform adjustments, and handle assembly materials with precision.
Visual Requirements
Sufficient visual acuity (e.g., 20/40 with or without correction) is necessary for tasks involving inspection and safe equipment operation.
Environmental Conditions
  • Work is performed in a production setting where seasonal temperatures may range from 100-120°F (with humidity) in summer to cooler conditions in winter.
  • High noise levels are common; hearing protection is provided and required.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as ear protection, safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, gloves, and protective clothing may be required depending on the task.

Additional Job Considerations
These roles can be physically demanding, involving repetitive motions and long hours. Technicians may be required to handle heavy molds and materials; use of material handling equipment is provided and encouraged.
