  • Deliver regular monitoring and performance analyses (rate change, loss trends, exposure growth, and market dynamics) to identify issues and opportunities.
  • Provide actuarial support for alternative capital structures, including profitability considerations and reporting requirements.
  • Oversee actuarial evaluation and governance of individual program profit-sharing arrangements.
  • Serve as the primary actuarial liaison with internal and external partners on data flows, reporting, and portfolio analytics.
  • Maintain and enhance portfolio benchmarks, metrics, and reporting frameworks.
  • Provide independent actuarial vetting of all new program opportunities to ensure disciplined growth and adherence to target return thresholds.

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Associateship or Fellowship in the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS/FCAS) or comparable education/designation with relevant experience.
  • Minimum 5-7 years relevant experience required.
  • Sound knowledge of actuarial techniques and standards, as well as other business operations including financial, underwriting, legal, statistics, claims, sales, etc.
  • Advanced communication and interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships and interact effectively with others within and outside the organization.
  • Ability to motivate and mentor peers and motivate and train subordinates.
  • Advanced computing skills (MS Office Excel, SAS, etc.) with ability to build complex models.
  • Familiarity with programs/delegated authority business, alternative capital structures, and/or Lloyd's/London market strongly preferred.
  • Advanced communication skills: demonstrated ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely, and to influence senior management and stakeholders across regions and functions.
  • Ability to lead independently and operate with accountability across a complex, global, multi-stakeholder portfolio.
  • Ability to develop creative solutions to unique and complex problems, often when data is limited.
