SUMMARY OF POSITION: Reporting to the Associate VP and Director of Athletics and Head Acrobatics & Tumbling Coach at Converse University, the Assistant Acrobatics & Tumbling Coach implement and help manage all phases of a competitive Acrobatics & Tumbling program in accordance with NCATA, NCAA, Conference and Converse University regulations through a courteous, helpful, unbiased and professional manner.ESSENTIAL DUTIES/ NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The Assistant Acrobatics & Tumbling Coach helps provide overall management, guidance, and strategy development for the Acrobatics & Tumbling program. They will be help implement and manage all phases of a competitive Division II program in accordance with NCATA, NCAA, Conference and Converse University regulations.Recruiting - (35%) Assist in recruiting quality student-athletes by means of personal contact and correspondence, evaluating ability in person or by video, and on-campus visits. Assist in recruiting student-athletes to maintain expected squad size. Work closely with the Director of Compliance, Admissions Office, and Financial Aid in recruiting process. Build a database of all prospects including high school, junior college, and transfers. Respond to all inquiries received Proactive in building recruiting schedules in the summer, fall, and spring Overseeing official and unofficial visits, including all paperwork associated with the visits Respond to texts, phone calls, and emails to recruits immediately Team Management - (30%) Assist in providing leadership and direction, as well as to the individual needs of the team members. Assist in leading individual training sessions. Assist Head Coach in monitoring study hall of student-athletes. Work toward team unity as well as the general unity of the University. Assist the Head Coach in providing regular support and direction to student-athletes. Make retention of student-athletes a goal and priority. Assist in managing social media accounts. Assist Head Coach in promoting, as well as monitor, the physical, emotional and social welfare of student-athletes. Assist the Head Coach in planning and implementing procedures for home and away contests (food, travel, cash requests). Program Management - (20%) Assist the Head Coach in conducting maintenance of physical equipment and resources. ● Assist the Head Coach in maintaining inventory of uniforms, supplies, equipment, etc. ● Assist the Head Coach in maintaining a complete inventory of all equipment and uniforms pertaining to the sport. Reports on needs and maintenance of facilities and equipment to the athletics administration. Community (10%) Assist the Head Coach in creating and cultivate professional relationships with the community to build both recruiting and sponsorship opportunities. Assist the Head Coach in building and fostering relationships with local, regional, and national high schools. Assist the Head Coach in scheduling and participating in community service with staff and student-athletes. Assist the Head Coach in developing and implementing team fundraisers.
