Porter - Madera Toyota Chevrolet
Position Summary:
The Porter is a vital support role within the dealership, responsible for ensuring vehicles and the dealership facilities are maintained in a clean, organized, and professional manner. This position directly supports the Sales, Service, and Detail Departments by keeping inventory and customer vehicles ready, safe, and presentable.
Key Responsibilities
  • Move vehicles safely around the dealership lot, service drive, and between departments.
  • Maintain cleanliness of dealership property, including parking lots, service drive, and common areas.
  • Wash, vacuum, and prepare vehicles for delivery to customers.
  • Assist with vehicle check-in and check-out for service appointments.
  • Perform light facility maintenance such as trash removal and lot organization.
  • Help maintain an orderly display of new and pre-owned inventory.
  • Deliver vehicles, parts, or documents as requested by management.
  • Support Sales and Service staff with tasks such as staging vehicles for customers.
  • Follow all dealership safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
  • Ability to drive both automatic and manual transmission (preferred).
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
  • Excellent customer service and teamwork skills.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move vehicles for extended periods of time.
  • Capable of lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
