About the role Use specializedmachineryfor industrial welding and oversee machines that perform the same job. Maintain and repair all machinery. Assess welded surfaces, structures and components to identify errors. Follow and enforce strict safety regulations such as wearing heat-resistant gloves, protective masks, and safety shoes.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain proper training certification (GTAW, SMAW, SAW,GTAW Aluminum,etc.)
  • Be capable of reading all prints issued to welding department
  • Accurately follow welding instructions to provide quality welds within theappropriate approvedmethods
  • Ability to use andoperateoverhead cranes, torches,grindersand forklifts
  • Work closely and communicate clearly with the other departments, Weld personnel, Supervisor and Lead Man

Qualifications:

Theidealcandidatewillpossessthe following:

  • Knowledge andunderstandofelectromachinery repair.
  • Must have the required tools to perform their expected tasks.
  • Mustbe able to use precision measuring instruments.
  • Mustbe able to work overtime when necessary.
  • Must have 3 years or more of proven welding experience.

Physical Demands:

  • While performing duties of this job,wouldoccasionally berequiredto stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel,talkand hear, and use fingers and hands to feel objects.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
