Job description

We are a growing snack and confectionery manufacturer looking for an experienced, commission only sales representative with proven relationships in national retail, grocery, club, convenience, specialty, and ecommerce channels.

This role is for a true sales closer who already understands the CPG world and knows how to get products reviewed, presented, and placed with major buyers. We are not looking for someone who needs training on how retail works. We need someone who can open doors, manage buyer communication, present products professionally, and help grow our business through real retail opportunities.

About Us

We manufacture premium snack, chocolate, nut, and giftable food products for national retailers, marketplaces, and private label programs. Our capabilities include seasonal gift programs, everyday snack items, custom packaging, private label development, ecommerce fulfillment, and retail ready assortments.

We are looking to expand into more national grocery, convenience, club, specialty, and big box retail accounts.

Responsibilities

Identify and develop new sales opportunities with national and regional retailers.

Present products to buyers in grocery, convenience, club, specialty, mass retail, and ecommerce channels.

Use existing buyer relationships to open doors and secure product reviews.

Help place seasonal, everyday, private label, and custom retail programs.

Manage communication with buyers from first contact through follow up.

Provide feedback on product fit, pricing, packaging, and retail opportunities.

Work with our internal team on samples, sell sheets, presentations, costing, and account requirements.

Track opportunities and provide regular updates on progress.

Represent the company professionally at trade shows, buyer meetings, and industry events when needed.

Requirements

Must have proven CPG sales experience.

Must have existing relationships with national retailers, grocery chains, convenience chains, club stores, specialty retailers, or ecommerce buyers.

Experience selling food, snacks, candy, confectionery, nuts, grocery, or giftable food products is strongly preferred.

Must understand retail buying cycles, category reviews, seasonal programs, margins, broker expectations, and buyer communication.

Must be self motivated, organized, and able to work independently.

Must be comfortable working on a commission only basis.

Must be able to bring real opportunities, not just general consulting advice.

Strong communication and follow up skills are required.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is an experienced CPG sales professional, broker, independent rep, or former retail sales executive who already has buyer relationships and wants to represent a growing manufacturer with strong product capabilities.

You may already be calling on grocery, convenience, club, specialty, or national retailers and are looking to add another strong product line to your portfolio.

Compensation

This is a commission only opportunity.

Commission structure will be discussed based on experience, channel, account type, and volume potential.

There is strong upside for the right person who can help secure meaningful retail placements and long term account growth.
