  • Ensure compliance with applicable standards, including the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD), Highway Capacity Manual (HCM), AASHTO guidelines, and agency-specific requirements
  • Assist with business development, proposal preparation, and client relationship management efforts
Requirements

  • PTOE and/or PTP certification preferred
  • Minimum of ten years of experience in traffic engineering, traffic analysis, traffic signal design, signing and striping design, and transportation planning
  • Familiarity with NYSDOT, NYCDOT, Nassau County, Suffolk County, Westchester County, and local municipal design standards
  • Experience managing transportation engineering projects and multidisciplinary teams
  • Proficiency with MicroStation, Bentley InRoads, Civil 3D, and traffic analysis software including HCS, Synchro, VISSIM, and SimTraffic
  • Experience preparing professional engineering deliverables in accordance with client standards and agency requirements
  • Strong knowledge of transportation planning, traffic operations, roadway safety, and multimodal transportation systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with regional and local office leadership, technical directors, and marketing teams
  • Active participation in professional organizations and industry associations preferred
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with CEQR transportation analysis requirements and environmental review processes
  • Experience conducting bicycle, pedestrian, micromobility, and complete streets studies
