Job description

The retail sales associate position is responsible for maintaining guest service, product knowledge, generating sales, cleaning, merchandising, cash register operations (POS), and loss prevention in adherence to all company policy/store standards.

Essential Functions:

1. Ensure that each guest receives outstanding guest service by providing a guest friendly environment, including greeting and acknowledging every guest, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge, and all other components of guest service.

2. Plate desserts, create drinks, and box confections accurately and according to outlined protocol.

3. Actively work toward creating a superlative coffee experience through: exceptional customer service, meticulous beverage preparation and presentation, in-store marketing, and upkeep of the physical space.

4. Maintain an awareness of all product information, merchandise promotions, test merchandise and advertisements.

5. Assist in floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance and store housekeeping.

6. Assist in processing and replenishing merchandise; participate in receiving and monitoring floor stock.

7. Adhere to all company policies, procedures and practices, including signing, pricing, and loss prevention.

8. Adhere to designated uniform and hygiene policies and outlines.

9. Accurately and efficiently complete all sales transactions and maintain proper cash and media accountabilities at POS registers.

10. Communicate guest requests to management.

11. Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for china, glassware, tableware, cooking utensils, etc., using machine and

manual cleaning methods. This position also ensures the dishwashing area is maintained as a clean, safe and sanitary facility.

12. Available to work mornings, mid-shifts, evenings and weekends.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items that weigh more than 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time and part-time position. Days and hours of work vary by business needs and schedule availability. Holiday work may be required as schedule demands.

Required Education and Experience

1. High school diploma or G.E.D.

2. Previous F&B, retail or customer service experience.

Proper authorization to work in the United States of America is required.
