Title: Senior Project Manager (Utility Transmission/Substation)

Duration: 12-month project

 

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead utility Transmission and Substation projects from initiation through completion. The ideal candidate will have strong project lifecycle management experience, financial oversight capabilities, and the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the complete project lifecycle from planning through execution and closeout.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Microsoft Project.
  • Monitor project budgets, forecasts, and financial performance.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, engineering teams, contractors, and clients to ensure successful project execution.
  • Identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and resolve issues proactively.
  • Track project milestones, deliverables, and overall performance.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, safety requirements, and project governance.
  • Prepare and present project status updates to leadership and stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline.
  • CAPM or PMP certification required.
  • 5+ years of project management experience (10+ years preferred).
  • Experience managing Utility Transmission or Substation projects.
  • Strong understanding of full project lifecycle management.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong financial and budget management experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical degree or construction background.
