Job Description RCS Staffing has an immediate need for a Construction Supervisor - TD&S in Boston, MA. This is a full-time direct-hire Office Based/Field Based assignment with our client. This position offers a competitive package including benefits, vacation and holidays.

Overview of YOUR role as a Construction Supervisor - TD&S As a Construction Supervisor, you will plan, organize, direct and control the execution of assigned general construction projects to meet the client's cost, quality, equipment, material usage and safety objectives. You are required to work at client site to direct activities on transmission and distribution line and substation construction projects. This role requires proactive leadership, strong field knowledge, and the ability to manage complex construction operations while maintaining the highest standards of safety, security, and environmental compliance.

As a Construction Supervisor - TD&S YOU will: Provide proactive leadership and direction to the electric transmission and distribution line or substation construction contractor workforce to ensure that high standards of safety, security, adherence to design and environmental compliance are developed and consistently maintained Work closely with contracted workforce to ensure development of a complete Work Proposal, including construction work plan, detailed schedule, Safety & Health Plan, and outage plan Ensure that external resource needs are adequately identified and assigned to fully support the construction contract work plans, schedule, and budget Take a proactive role interfacing with the appropriate individuals to fully understand contract program needs and ensure that promised commitments are delivered on time and within budget Participate in construction conference calls and meetings to support the requirement to provide weekly updates, crew activity and reports Manage construction activities to meet cost, quality, equipment, and material usage objectives Direct and supervise construction contractor workforce on-site Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and safety standards Review and interpret construction prints, specification sheets, schematics, and one-line diagrams Address construction field issues and provide technical guidance and solutions Monitor project schedule and budget performance Coordinate with internal teams and external contractors Maintain detailed project documentation and reporting YOU are the ideal Construction Supervisor - TD&S candidate if you have: 10+ years of experience in transmission/distribution, overhead line or substation construction activities and the operation and maintenance of electric transmission, substation and distribution facilities in a supervisory capacity (required) Intimate understanding of the applicable construction standards, operating procedures and work methods Knowledge of federal, state, OSHA, local, and applicable environmental rules and regulations Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with self-direction and high motivation Ability to understand construction field issues, prints specification sheets, schematics, one-line diagrams, and instructional information to construct, maintain, and troubleshoot electric transmission and distribution lines, and substation equipment Resilient and self-motivated; always striving to build upon previous successes Strong safety awareness and commitment to maintaining high safety standards Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously Excellent communication and reporting skills Ability to work on-site at client locations Valid driver's license in good standing It's a BONUS if you have: PE (Professional Engineer) license OSHA certification Advanced knowledge of transmission and distribution systems design Experience with substation construction and commissioning Project management certifications Experience with high-voltage electrical systems Background in utility or energy infrastructure projects Leadership training or certifications About Our CLIENT Our Client is a national engineering and consulting firm with over 3,100 professionals dedicated to delivering innovative, sustainable solutions for utilities, infrastructure, and industrial clients.
