Job description

Position Description Are you a creative force with a gift for inspiring others. Step into a role where your artistry meets community impact. The Edina Art Center is seeking a dynamic Adult Watercolor and/or Pastel Instructor to join our collaborative, community-centered team.

In this position, you will guide teen and adult learners through the expressive world of painting, from luminous watercolors to richly textured pastels. You will shape meaningful studio experiences, nurture confidence at every skill level, and help students discover the joy of creating something uniquely their own. Please submit images of your past art pieces to Acoffice@edinamn.gov in addition to your application. This position will remain open until filled. Essential Functions Essential Functions Develop six-week classes and/or workshops that advance the goals of the Edina Art Center as an organization that meets community needs Demonstrate the ability to teach teen and adult learners Demonstrate techniques and artistic skills to successfully teach classes Work as a part of a team of instructors and staff to support the arts in Edina and surrounding communities Qualifications Qualifications Degree or coursework leading to a degree in art or art education, or equivalent experience in teaching art Two years experience developing age appropriate curriculum for adults Two years experience teaching visual arts to adults in a classroom or workshop setting Available to work evenings and/or weekend Supplemental Information Physical Requirements: Sit, stand, talk, write, hear
