All clients enjoy a highly personalized level of service from our attentive team, providing unsurpassed, concierge‑style support, while understanding the need for flexibility. Our platform also includes Quixote by Sunset Studios, providing an unparalleled combined business offering of stages, transportation, equipment and production services.

At Hollywood’s center for nearly 100 years, we’ve played a critical role in the development of the entertainment industry.

Summary

We are seeking a Sr. IT Analyst – Studio Infrastructure to collaborate with teams and departments responsible for network administration, infrastructure planning, and hands‑on studio support for our Sunset Studios tenants. This role goes beyond day‑to‑day troubleshooting: you will lead infrastructure upgrades and hardware refreshes, coordinate projects across vendors and internal teams, and serve as the go‑to technical resource for our studio environment. You'll manage LAN/WAN connectivity, switching, and firewall configurations while continuing to deliver the white‑glove service our tenants expect across Windows and Mac platforms, Microsoft 365, networking, AV systems, and mobile devices.

What You’ll Do
  • Own and maintain the studio network infrastructure, including switches, firewalls, VLANs, wireless access points, and WAN/LAN connectivity across all Sunset Studios lots.

  • Plan, scope, and coordinate infrastructure upgrade projects and hardware refresh cycles—develop timelines, track milestones, manage vendor deliverables, and communicate status to IT leadership.

  • Serve as the primary escalation point for complex technical issues and help build team capabilities.

  • Administer Azure AD / Entra ID and Microsoft 365; manage user lifecycles, security, and groups.

  • Monitor network performance and availability; troubleshoot connectivity, latency, and security incidents across production and corporate environments.

  • Manage server infrastructure (on‑premises and cloud), including patching, verification, and capacity planning.

  • Oversee AV and conferencing systems (Zoom Rooms, Teams Rooms, RingCentral/Mitel) for studio conference rooms, screening rooms, and production spaces.

  • Lead hardware procurement, asset lifecycle tracking, and disposal processes in coordination with finance and compliance teams.

  • Ensure compliance with Sarbanes‑Oxley IT controls, security policies, and audit requirements; participate in internal and external audit support.

  • Provide white‑glove IT support and build strong relationships with studio tenants, productions, and internal departments across all levels.

  • Collaborate closely with other Sunset Studios IT team members, providing virtual and/or on‑site assistance as needed.

  • Travel between studio lots and/or reassignment may be required.

  • Other infrastructure and technology projects as assigned.

What You’ll Need
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in IT infrastructure support, network administration, or systems engineering in a mid‑to‑large corporate environment (studio or entertainment industry experience a strong plus).

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field—or an equivalent combination of education and hands‑on experience.

  • Solid understanding of network fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, firewall rules, VPN, and wireless networking; hands‑on experience configuring and troubleshooting managed switches, routers, and access points.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 administration and Azure AD / Entra ID.

  • Experience with Windows Server (2019/2022), Active Directory, PowerShell, and system patching practices.

  • Working knowledge of endpoint security tools, including antivirus, EDR, encryption/BitLocker, and MDM solutions such as Intune.

  • Demonstrated experience coordinating IT projects—hardware refreshes, network upgrades, or office/studio build‑outs—including timeline management, vendor coordination, and stakeholder communication.

  • Experience with ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow; familiarity with ITIL processes.

  • Ability to work varied hours, including early morning, late evening, or occasionally weekends to provide on‑site support during production schedules.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to translate technical concepts for non‑technical stakeholders and build trust with studio tenants and production teams.

  • Self‑directed problem solver who can prioritize across multiple concurrent projects in a fast‑paced studio environment.

What Will Get You Noticed
  • CCNA, CCST, CompTIA Network+, Server+, or Security+ certification.

  • Experience using the CLI to configure and troubleshoot enterprise network switches from Dell Technologies and Cisco Systems.

  • ITIL v4 Foundation certification.

  • CAPM or other project management credential.

  • Experience leading end‑to‑end hardware refresh or network infrastructure upgrade projects.

  • Familiarity with studio/production‑specific IT needs (dedicated production networks, isolated VLANs for talent/crew, high‑bandwidth media workflows).

  • Experience with Cisco Meraki, Palo Alto, or Fortinet firewall platforms.

  • Hands‑on experience with virtualization (Hyper‑V, VMware) and cloud infrastructure (Azure IaaS).

  • Experience with enterprise administration of SharePoint, Proofpoint, Abnormal, or Box/Dropbox.

  • Professional experience within entertainment or media production organizations.

Essential Physical Functions/Environment
  • Requires a wide range of constant physical and office activities, including but not limited to walking, standing, sitting for long periods of time, bending, lifting, etc.

  • Requires walking and climbing stairs throughout property, including construction sites.

  • Requires movement between departments to facilitate work.

  • Requires lifting and handling computer equipment, supplies and materials.

  • Requires close, distance, peripheral vision and depth perception.
