One Twenty Three Tavern is looking for reliable and dedicated Food Expeditor (EXPO) staff members to join our already awesome team! Expo staff are part of the “support staff” of the restaurant and have a variety job duties that assist in helping the restaurant run like a well-oiled machine.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Communicate with chefs during service, check on the status of dishes, and call for wait staff when food is ready to serve. You are also responsible for running food from the kitchen to our guests in the restaurant with a warm and welcoming demeanor and asking them if they need anything else while you are at the table.
  • Alert the wait staff when the kitchen is out of a specific ingredient and relay special food requests from the wait staff to the kitchen
  • Inspect every plate to make sure the proper garnishes have been applied and that dishes are free of smudges and spills before being delivered to the customer. We want EVERY plate that leaves our kitchen to look and taste amazing.
  • Maintain cleanliness and order in all cooking, prep, and food storage areas, keeping these areas neat, well organized, and stocked with ingredients. This includes food and bar walk in coolers, dry storage, reach in coolers, dishwashing area, and many other areas in the restaurant.
  • Follow sanitation standards keeping yourself, your tools, and your work areas clean and presentable according to Health Department Standards and Requirements.
  • Pitch in to help all staff as needed-- prepping food at times, serving plates of food, organizing food, beer, wine, liquor stock, assist with bussing and re-setting tables, washing bar glassware, taking out trash and linens, sweeping and mopping expo line.
QUALIFICATIONS and/or EXPERIENCE
  • A team player who’s willing to go above amp; beyond for guests amp; peers.
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must be able to communicate clearly amp; respectfully with all co-workers.
  • Must be punctual, organized, amp; trustworthy
  • Can thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Ability to be on your feet and active for 8 or more hours, climb stairs, lift up to 50lbs and use basic cleaning equipment
