How you'll make an impact:
Works with Producers and members of the Programming team to create superior radio programs for MLB Network Radio. Supports creative processes, content development and production. Exercises both creative abilities and technical skills. Will edit materials and operate an audio board. Will be assigned to more than one program and perform different functions across programs. Must have Weekend and Weeknight availability. Independently owns assigned show segments and makes real-time editorial and technical decisions within established programming standards.
What you'll do:
  • Produce a radio show including technical aspects of playing music, running a board, communicating with hosts and co-producers.
  • Exercise independent judgment during live and recorded programming to resolve timing, content, and technical issues while maintaining broadcast quality.
  • Design and post social media posts to over 90k followers.
  • Research guest ideas and coordinate guests in the sports industry.
  • Develop novel and creative ways to present content.
  • Create content to go on the SiriusXM App.
  • Recommend topics, guests, formats, and production improvements based on audience needs, current sports developments, and programming priorities.
  • Take accountability for the accuracy, timeliness, technical quality, and audience readiness of assigned content across radio, social, and app channels.
  • Manage multiple assignments across programs, balancing shifting deadlines, breaking sports news, talent needs, and live-studio requirements.

What you'll need:
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to pay attention to details and be organized.
  • Ability to project professionalism over the phone and in person.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a virtual environment as well as in a live studio environment.
  • Willingness to take initiative and to follow through on projects.
  • Strong interest in current events and pop culture, as related to assigned channels / programs.
  • Comfortable working with talent, artists and high-profile individuals.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-tasking and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with operating an audio board.
  • Experience with Social media platforms, including Twitter (X), Instagram, and Facebook.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office and Adobe Audition.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply sound editorial and production judgment within defined procedures and escalate issues when appropriate.
  • Ability to receive general direction on routine work and detailed guidance on new projects or assignments.
  • Must have legal right to work in the U.S.

We expect the hourly rate for this position to be $21/hour and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience.
