Schedule Information:

Adjunct faculty may be assigned a maximum workload of 24 contact hours or equivalent per academic year, i.e., fall and spring semesters. Classes within the program are offered in day, evening, and/or online modalities

The Career and Technical Programs provide programs of study that involve a multiyear sequence of courses that integrate core academic knowledge with technical and occupational knowledge to provide students with a pathway to postsecondary education and careers.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree with a major in interior design, architecture, or fine arts. 

Experience Requirements:

The equivalent of one year of work experience in interior design. 

Preferred Experience:

The equivalent of two years of work experience in interior design.  Registration as a registered interior designer in the State of Illinois.  Two years of teaching in interior design or architecture at college level.

Teaching IND 203 - 3D Design Studio

Deliver course content that aligns with the college's curriculum standards and student learning outcomes.

Develop course syllabi, assignments, and assessments that reflect current industry practices and ensure course outcomes are met.

Foster an inclusive and engaging learning environment that accommodates diverse learning styles and promotes student success.

Use technology and other resources to enhance course delivery and student engagement, including online, hybrid, or face-to-face modalities.

Maintain accurate records of student's progress and grades.

Must adhere to mid-term verification and final grade posting deadlines.

Adhere to institutional policies and procedures, including those related to academic integrity and accessibility.

Effectively engage students, convey 3-D design concepts, and offer constructive criticism of student work using excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Enthusiastically translate complex design concepts into clear, accessible Interior Design lessons intended for college level students.
