Job description

SUMMARY
The IT Application Support Specialist will provide technical assistance and support to various system users including identifying and resolving system issues, creating or updating SOPs, creating and maintaining access roles and groups, and adding or terminating user access.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Assist in the preparation and documentation of software requirements and specifications.
Research and document requirements of software users.
Create and maintain user access on various applications.
Run and monitor software performance tests on new and existing programs for the purposes of correcting errors, isolating areas for improvement, and general debugging.
Administer critical analysis of test results and deliver solutions to problem areas.
Assist in the development and maintenance of user manuals and guidelines.
Install software products for end users as required.
Work with IT security administrators, network engineers, system engineers, and other software developers to assist in resolving problems with software products or company software systems.
Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs
Ensures behavior and appearance are in compliance with established standards.
Maintains a professional work environment with management and staff
Participates in meetings and training as required
Maintains complete confidentiality of all company information at all times
Performs all job duties in a safe and responsible manner
Performs other duties as may be assigned by department and/or company management within the scope of this position.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Experience working with enterprise applications, including: (preference)
Casino Management systems (Konami Synkros)
Everi Promotion and Enrollment kiosk
Lodging Management systems (iSeries - Agilysys LMS)
Document Management system (Agilysys - Datamagine)
ERP systems (iSeries - Infinium)
Payroll/Time Clock systems (Unifocus)
Procurement Sourcing systems (iSeries - Stratton Warren)
Point-of-Sale (windows - Infogenesis)
Hands on experience working in integrated development environments, including systems outlined above.
Knowledge of Windows Operating Systems
Familiarity with SQL Server and SQL Server Management Studio
Experience with OS400 operating systems.
Familiarity with the Casino and Hospitality industry.
Hands-on software troubleshooting experience.
Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
Strong written and oral communication skills; Strong interpersonal skills.
Flexible and adaptable in regards to learning and understanding new technologies.
Conduct research into software-related issues and products.
Technically proficient; Self-motivated and directed; Keen attention to detail; Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
College degree in the field of computer technology or equivalent work experience.

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES
Must obtain and maintain appropriate licensing with the Nevada Gaming Board and Alcohol Awareness Card.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work performed indoors and outdoors. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Team Member may be exposed to odor and secondhand smoke. Overtime hours may be required to meet project deadlines. Some travel may be required for the purpose of off-site software installation.
