Job description

Summer Student Assistant Position

Priority is given to those in school in a related field (Veterinary Medicine/Veterinary Technology/etc)


This position does not required any previous training, experience or schooling, though it will be an asset that will be taken into consideration for hiring. Preference will be given to veterinary industry students.


A summer student is in charge of assisting the Team with animal restraint, cleaning kennels, laundry, pressure washing, vacuuming, mopping, emptying garbages as well as any other side jobs where extra hands are needed. It's not the most glamorous job but its an entry level position to gain you experience and insight into the veterinary industry. Post secondary education such as Veterinary Technology and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine require applicants to have put in time as a student for experience.


Those with formal veterinary education, will get to experience their position under supervision of RVTs & DVMs. Depending on year of schooling we will have you hands on learning and applying your surgical, anesthesia, pharmacy and medical skills. Our veterinary students are known for their surgical abilities after spending the summer with us. All students have reported an increase to their skill, ability and control. We have a long history in student mentorship and we take pride in increasing your outcomes.


As a student assistant, you are an important part of our team and we rely on your skill and efficiency to make sure that we can get the clients and animalsthe care they need.
