Job description

Student Nurse Aide

The Student Nurse Aide works under the direction of the RN/LPN. The responsibilities of the Student Nurse include providing direct patient care standards. The Student Nurse must exhibit the ability to work with people from diverse socio-economic backgrounds; to organize, set priorities and manage multiple priorities, and to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.

Education: High School/GED required.

Candidates must meet the following criteria: Completed a minimum of one year of clinical experience within an academic nursing program, and completed the following educational courses and clinical experience: Fundamentals of Nursing and Pharmacology including medication administration. Currently enrolled and in good standing in an accredited Associated Degree, Diploma or Baccalaureate Professional Nursing Program. (Nursing graduates pending passage of the NCLEX are eligible.)

License, Certification and/or Registration: BLS required before the conclusion of the orientation period.
