Job Summary
The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a federal work study student in the English department on the Gainesville campus. Writing Fellows work as embedded consultants in one or more courses and assist students with major writing assignments. Training/professionalization is provided via a mandatory course in which Fellows must enroll.
Responsibilities
  • Give oral feedback on writing assignments to students
  • Give written feedback on writing assignments to students
  • Communicate with assigned faculty in a professional manner
  • articipate in professionalization activities as required by the Director of Writing Fellows

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Basic technology literacy, including an awareness of ethical concerns regarding AI in writing

  • Must be enrolled at the University of North Georgia in a minimum of six (6) credit hours to qualify as a student worker.
