Job description

At LearnWell, we are committed to changing the lives of the 10 million students in the U.S. who are dealing with behavioral health issues. For more than 26 years, we have provided on-site educational services in hospitals, helping these school-age patients continue their education during treatment and reintegrate successfully into the classroom. With a network of over 200 educators, we strive to make a positive impact for generations to come.

Currently, we are seeking passionate and creative teachers to assist with our growing need for virtual tutoring. This unique position will involve working remotely, providing academic support to child and adolescent school-age patients as they receive treatment in behavioral health facilities. Teachers must be state-certified and can assist with K-12 core subjects, however many of our students need assistance in high school math and science. Bilingual Teachers must be comfortable teaching in both languages in all four core subjects - Math, Science, Social Studies, and Language Arts.

In this role, teachers provide virtual tutoring support to students on a 1:1 and small group setting with the main responsibility is to act as an aide for the student, guiding them through educational material and ensuring their academic success. 

Availability and Schedule : 

Position requires consistent availability Monday–Friday between 8:00 AM–10:00 PM EST, with a minimum commitment of 12.5 hours per week. Preference will be given to candidates who can increase availability during our peak season (November–early June). This is a 100% remote role, and candidates must have a reliable internet connection and a computer in their home workspace. 

Compensation: 

Candidates who meet preferred criteria—such as advanced credentials, specialized experience, or demonstrated expertise—may be eligible for higher compensation where applicable (e.g., NY, IL LBS1, NJ Standard, MN licenses). All teachers are compensated for both instructional sessions and designated daily administrative time.
