Job description

Pharma Medica Research is a full-service contract research organization specialized in conducting early-phase clinical trials in healthy volunteers, special and patient populations. We are currently looking for a Bioanalytical Technician to join our Bioanalytical Lab in Mississauga.

The Bioanalytical Technician carries out technical functions primarily in support of bioanalytical drug testing and analysis at Pharma Medica Research Inc. (PMRI). The position reports to the Team Leader/Bioanalytical Lab and/or designate.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the sample preparation for method development, validation of bioanalytical methods and samples analyses of drugs in biological specimens for bioequivalence, bioavailability, ADME (absorption, distribution, metabolism, and elimination) studies etc.
  • Conduct laboratory activities in compliance with PMRI Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
  • Complete SOP and GLP training tasks as required, provide suggestions and recommendations as to how to improve the operation of the laboratory and the structure and content of the SOPs and compliance with GLP requirements.
  • Assist in the day-to-day maintenance of the laboratory.
  • Understand operations, calibrations and maintain all principle laboratory equipment including but not limited to balances, pH meters, pipettes, freezers, water system, equipment for sample extraction and evaporation and fume hoods.
  • Maintain up to date records and logs of work, signed and witnessed, as necessary, according to PMRI SOPs and GLP regulatory requirements.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • B.Sc. or Community College diploma in Chemical Technology or related science
  • 1 years related Bioanalytical Technician experience
