Utah Valley University is seeking a student to assist Academic Tutoring!
Summary of Responsibilities
Tutoring Responsibilities
  • Tutor students by implementing various instructional/tutorial strategies and techniques
  • Participate in required tutor training and certification
  • Tutor students in various locations on the main campus or at designated satellite locations
  • Assist in cleaning the lab

Mentorship and Supervision
  • Mentors a group of new and returning tutors in lab operations and tutoring techniques
  • Participate in observation and evaluation of tutors
  • Prepare and deliver training for Level 1 and Level 2 tutors
  • Report to Math Lab Director, Coordinator, and Assistant Coordinator
  • Attend 1-2 meetings per month with the Coordinator
  • Complete CRLA Level 3 Certification

Qualifications / Licenses / Certifications
  • Must be a current UVU student
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Completion of CRLA Level 2
  • Prior experience as a tutor in a UVU Academic Tutoring Lab
