Job description

On-Call Temporary Nurses (LPN or RN)

The Glencoe-Silver Lake School District is looking for on-call, temporary nurses (LPN or RN) to fill in when employees are absent. Duties may include dispensing meds, providing first aid, and caring for students with injuries at sites in Glencoe or Silver Lake for up to eight hours per day. Responsibilities may also include providing complex medical care to students. Occasional lifting of 20 to 40 pounds may be required. A high school diploma is required for all GSL employees. Substitute Nurses must provide first aid and CPR/AED certification documentation and a copy of licensure. The school district requires applicants for school district positions who receive an offer of employment to submit to a criminal history background check.
