Job description


Faulkner University is seeking a qualified individual to serve as the Assistant Coach - Baseball. The primary role of this individual is to assist the head coach in establishing and executing a team philosophy centered on growing young men spiritually, intellectually, physically, and professionally. The selected individual will cultivate a culture of discipline, unity, and high achievement while modeling Faulkner's Christian mission. Faulkner University is a NAIA Division I member and competes in the Southern States Athletic Conference. Faulkner University is a Christian university affiliated with the churches of Christ.
This is a full-time (40+ hours per week), 10-month position (Aug.- May).
Summary of Duties:
  • Assist with budget planning and fiscal management to support program operations
  • Plan, organize, and facilitate team practices
  • Coordinate practice schedules, team travel logistics, and related operational arrangements
  • Support the administration and coordination of all aspects of the softball program
  • Recruit, mentor, and retain high-caliber student-athletes
  • Assist in the planning and execution of camps, clinics, community engagement initiatives, and other revenue-generating activities

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum 3 years of coaching experience required; collegiate experience preferred
  • Frequent evening and weekend hours, and travel
  • Active member of the church of Christ
