Compensation Range:

$13.00 - $14.49

Position Summary:

Hiring Salary Range:$13.00 to $14.49 depending on qualifications.

The Student Life Assistant provides administrative support to the Director of Student Activities and supports student life activities, including but not limited to assisting with virtual and on campus activities and event registrations, marketing of events, overseeing student task deadlines and delegating tasks as needed. Assignments are typically technical or analytical, requiring specific skills and specialized knowledge. Hours consist of 25-28-hour work week. Specific work hours to be agreed upon by the supervisor and employee prior to the onset of employment. Some weekends possible. Flexible work schedule to accommodate events times

Job Duties:

  • Perform administrative/clerical duties such as typing, filing, data entry, photocopying, answering the telephone and taking accurate messages, serve as a backup for work-study positions in office.
  • Delegate work to the work-study student employees.
  • Oversee deadlines for other student employees' tasks.
  • Oversee fundraising data entry, from preparing deposits to crediting and updating reports.
  • Run errands on campus.
  • Assist with Mailings.
  • Assist with survey data collection.
  • Assist with Student Activities marketing efforts.
  • Compile data for assessment and configure spreadsheets
  • Assist & train club/organization officers
  • Assist students when they come to the office for basic information.
  • Inventory office supplies and notify Student Life Coordinator in a timely manner.
  • Inventory Food Pantry/Clothing Closet items.
  • Provide contactless giveaway assistance and assembly.
  • Assist with activities and events, including but not limited to selling tickets, book sales, set-up, and break down, whenever possible.
  • Update social media.
  • Email and call booking agents for events.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

Associate's degree or two-year College equivalent (at least 60 undergraduate semester hours). The position requires at least a High School diploma orGEDequivalent if substituting experience for education. Two years of experience working in student services and/or career services in a college setting. Technical experience and proficiency with data management systems and learning platforms. Experience with office and administrative related duties, and Professional record to display effectiveness in self-directed roles, multi-tasking, evidence of organization skills and analytical ability,

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate degree. Experience with event planning and execution, Experience with navigating various social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, Twitter, etc.
