Schedule Information: Will determine based on student's availability. Must have some availability to work during the following hours: 

Monday 8 AM - 4:30 PM

Tuesday 8 AM - 4:30 PM

Wednesday 8 AM - 4:30 PM

Thursday 8 AM - 4:30 PM

Friday 8 AM - 4:30 PM

Maximum Hours Per Week: 19

Duties of Position: The Student Engagement Student Aide serves as the first point of contact for students, employees and community members contacting the Student Engagement staff. Student Aides must be able to provide exceptional customer service in-person, via telephone, and through written/virtual communication. Additional duties include helping the office with special projects, working student events, having a strong understanding of the opportunities for students to engage with clubs and organizations.

The Office of the Dean of Students is responsible for the areas of the College that are intended to connect students to campus resources, advocate for the needs of students, and support and engage students in ways that enhance the learning environment. This includes many of the "out of classroom" experiences designed to offer students ways to develop their whole identity, including: connecting to the campus and to other students, developing and strengthen leadership skills, understanding college policies and expectations, experiencing cultural and artistic events, learning about people and cultures that are different from one's own, making health decisions about wellness, learn about consensual sexual relationships, maintaining an active lifestyle, learning how actions affect others and gaining life skills like financial literacy and time management.

Education Requirements: In order to apply for this position, you must be a current Harper College student, enrolled in at least six credits per semester (three for summer).
