Navitas is seeking to employ a Student Recruitment Coordinator (1-Year Contract)to join our North American team inCalgary, Alberta,at ULethbridge International College.

The Student Recruitment Coordinator will work closely with the College Director & Principal, Marketing Manager, and admissions teams in the execution of global marketing and sales strategies that contribute to the growth of new student enrolments at the business unit.


The Student Recruitment Coordinator will assist in implementing initiatives to generate leads, nurture prospective students and drive new student enrolments. Key responsibilities include responding to inquiries from prospective students and education agents, assisting with conversion campaigns and marketing communications, creating content for social media and digital channels, supporting the training and engagement of education agents, and participating in recruitment events and activities designed to advance prospective students through the enrolment journey


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the BU marketing team in implementing student conversion strategies for upcoming intakes. Collaborate with BU marketing team to drive applications and payments within designated regions on a weekly basis through digital channels (phone, email, webinars, information session, etc).
  • Assist in developing and implementing comprehensive marketing plans for designated regions based on the allocated budget to generate leads, nurture prospective students, and drive enrolments across all programs. This includes leveraging various media (print, web, social networking), as well as participation in global recruitment activities such as exhibitions, seminars, alumni events, etc.
  • Provide detailed program counselling and admissions guidance to prospective students, parents, and education agents, supporting progression from enquiry, to application, deposit and enrolment through various digital and in-person engagement activities, often based in international time zones.
  • Work closely with the Navitas North America Admissions team and the BU Student Services team to ensure accurate information about programs, requirements, and admissions processes are well communicated to prospective students, education agents, and the Navitas global recruitment teams.
  • Provide ongoing training and support to external marketing and recruitment partners through multiple channels (in-person, email, webinars, other digital marketing initiatives, etc.), often based in international time zones.
  • Assist in developing and implementing digital marketing and lead-nurturing strategies, including email campaigns, social media, online conferencing, advertising, and promotion campaigns via Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, etc.
  • Possible travel to designated or identified international markets.
  • Actively work to promote and achieve a diverse international student population.
  • Cultivate and maintain solid, loyal relationships with University Partner and recruitment channels including education agents, government organizations and sponsor organizations, schools, and Navitas global recruitment teams.
  • Stay abreast of political and economic factors and other market conditions which may impact international recruitment and provide feedback to the BU marketing team.
  • Follow best practices and ensure full utilization of customer relationship management systems to support lead management, conversion activities, pipeline tracking and reporting.


Essential Skills, Knowledge and Experience

    • Undergraduate degree in a relevant field with minimum 1 year of related experience; or a combination of education and 2-3 years related experience.
    • Experience in marketing, sales, conversion, and/or customer service.
    • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
    • Highly developed interpersonal, communication (both verbal and written), presentation, and negotiation skills.
    • Demonstrated experience in the use of technology to underpin marketing strategies and increase student enrol
    • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team to ensure enrolment targets are met.
    • Flexible attitude to work including a willingness to work weekends and evenings
    • Valid passport and ability to travel internationally for up to 16 weeks per year.
    • Legal authorization to work in Canada.

    Desirable Skills

    • Ability to speak a second language.
    • Experience in post-secondary student recruitment and marketing.
    • Experience recruiting students from markets in Africa.
