The Events Intern will support the marketing team at Nucleus by planning and coordinating the logistics for a wide variety of events taking place throughout the school year. This role is ideal for a student with strong organizational and communication skills who is eager to gain hands on experience coordinating events and building relationships with campus and community stakeholders.
Responsibilities
  • Plan and coordinate logistics for a wide variety of events throughout the school year, including venue setup, scheduling, and day of execution.
  • Serve as a point of contact for event logistics, including catering, AV and equipment needs, room reservations, and transportation.
  • Communicate and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including campus departments, vendors, and community partners, to confirm event details and timelines.
  • Develop and maintain event timelines, checklists, and run of show documents to keep events on track.
  • Provide on site event support, including setup, registration, and breakdown.
  • Track event budgets, supplies, and inventory as needed.
  • Collect post event feedback and assist with evaluating event success to inform future planning.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: 
  • High School Diploma, or equivalency

Skills & Abilities: 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage logistics for multiple events at once.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace for scheduling, tracking, and documentation.
  • Excellent time management, problem solving, and adaptability in a fast paced environment, including occasional evenings or weekends based on event schedules.
Preferences
  • Currently enrolled in a Utah institution of higher education.
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Event Planning, Hospitality, or a related field.
