D'Artagnan Capital Fund Student Intern Leader- Senior Level
Position Summary
The D'Artagnan Capital Fund (DCF) at Xavier University is seeking two Senior-Level Student Intern Leaders to provide operational leadership and continuity for the Fund. These positions are intended as targeted hires of highly experienced current Xavier students, particularly students who have demonstrated strong leadership within the DCF and have an in-depth understanding of its academic, operational, and organizational processes.
The Student Intern Leaders will work closely with the DCF Director to ensure that the Fund's recurring administrative and operational responsibilities are executed efficiently and consistently across semesters. By assuming these responsibilities, the Senior Interns will allow the DCF Director to devote greater attention to investment management, student development, and fiduciary oversight.
The positions are designed for students who have progressed to the senior level of the DCF experience and are prepared to serve as institutional leaders and continuity resources for the program.
Number of Positions
Two (2) Senior-Level Student Intern Leaders
Primary Objectives
The Student Intern Leaders will:
  • Provide operational continuity across academic semesters and academic years.
  • Preserve institutional knowledge as student managers and analysts transition through the DCF.
  • Improve the execution and timeliness of recurring DCF activities.
  • Coordinate administrative and logistical functions that support the DCF's year-round operations.
  • Support the DCF Director while allowing the Director to focus on investment management and fiduciary responsibilities.
  • Develop and maintain systems that improve the student experience and the long-term effectiveness of the Fund.

Key Responsibilities
1. Operational Continuity & Forward Planning
  • Prepare for upcoming semesters and academic years in advance.
  • Maintain calendars, timelines, room requirements, events, and recurring operational activities.
  • Identify upcoming needs and coordinate their completion before deadlines.
  • Maintain continuity of processes and institutional knowledge from one student cohort to the next.

2. Event & Logistics Coordination
  • Coordinate logistics for weekly DCF meetings, events, and special programs.
  • Assist with guest speaker and visitor logistics.
  • Coordinate DCF apparel ordering, distribution, and related communications.
  • Assist with planning and execution of DCF events and activities throughout the academic year.

3. Administrative & Financial Support
  • Assist with receipts, reimbursements, purchasing documentation, and related administrative processes.
  • Monitor outstanding administrative items and ensure timely follow-up.
  • Help organize documentation necessary for DCF activities and expenditures.
  • Support compliance with Xavier University administrative requirements.

4. File & Data Management
  • Maintain organized DCF files and shared resources.
  • Coordinate collection and organization of student headshots, reports, and other program materials.
  • Help maintain consistent file naming, storage, and document-management practices.
  • Preserve institutional records that will be useful to future DCF cohorts.

5. Media & Communication
  • Support DCF social media and program-visibility efforts.
  • Coordinate routine communications related to meetings, events, and activities.
  • Assist in maintaining a professional and consistent public presence for the DCF.

6. Technology & Meeting Support
  • Assist with classroom and meeting technology.
  • Coordinate video recording and related technology needs when appropriate.
  • Provide troubleshooting and logistical support for DCF meetings and presentations.

7. In-Room & Program Support
  • Assist with presentations and classroom activities.
  • Help manage meeting logistics and ensure that sessions are prepared to begin on time.
  • Provide operational support to student managers, analysts, and the DCF Director as needed.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be a current Xavier University undergraduate student with substantial experience in the D'Artagnan Capital Fund.
Preferred qualifications include:
  • Significant prior participation in the DCF as a student manager or analyst.
  • Demonstrated leadership within the DCF.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with the DCF's systems, routines, technology, and administrative processes.
  • Ability to work effectively with students at different levels of DCF experience.
  • Demonstrated judgment, professionalism, and dependability.
  • Interest in helping build the long-term institutional strength of the DCF.

Targeted Hiring Approach
Because these positions require significant institutional knowledge and a demonstrated ability to lead within the DCF, the initial two positions are intended to be targeted hires rather than broad entry-level recruiting positions.
The initial Senior Interns should be selected from among current Xavier students who have already established themselves as senior-level leaders within the DCF. Candidates should have demonstrated that they can successfully manage responsibilities, work independently, assist other students, and represent the DCF professionally.
The expectation is that these initial leaders will help establish the processes, systems, and culture for the broader DCF Student Intern Team.
Supervision & Reporting
The Student Intern Leaders will work under the direction of the Director of the D'Artagnan Capital Fund and will coordinate closely with DCF student leadership.
The Senior Interns will be expected to take ownership of assigned operational responsibilities while communicating regularly with the Director regarding priorities, deadlines, and issues requiring attention.
Time Commitment
Approximately 5-8 hours per week
Work hours may vary during the academic year depending on the DCF calendar, events, and operational requirements.

Most importantly, they will help build a structure that enables the DCF Director to concentrate on the Fund's core responsibilities of investment management, student development, and fiduciary oversight.
The Student Intern Leader model is intended to provide a scalable operational foundation for the DCF as a $10 million, year-round student-managed investment program.
