Description
Coordinates and maintains Office of Student Engagement account services including, but not limited to maintenance of Student Government Association Accounts for over 50+ recognized student clubs and organizations and office budget accounts.
Actual salaries will vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to degrees attained, experience, and other considerations permitted by law. Comprehensive compensation details, including any additional benefits, will be communicated upon finalization of the employment offer.
Responsibilities
- Meet with and assist club members, individually or in groups, with booking flights and hotel rooms for conferences and/or club outings.
- Advise and assist clubs with event planning- ie: provide cash boxes, review signage and confirm that the appropriate reservations and authorizations have been acquired.
- Work in conjunction with campus offices to process student organization requests- such as Harvest Table food services and SC Print Shop.
- Coordinate student organizations' Transportation Request process including review of paperwork and input of data.
- Assist student organizations and advisors with creation of events on event management platforms.
- Assist the Assistant Dean of Student & Parent Engagement in making necessary preparations and completing appropriate paperwork to facilitate Office of Student Engagement departmental operations while maintaining confidentiality. This may include the performance of a wide range of administrative duties (i.e. requisitions, assorted documents, contracts, check requests, maintaining files and developing google forms and documents).
- Assists in managing an office budget of approx $250,000.
- Work with personnel in Accounting and Purchasing offices to keep accurate and up to date financial records-including adding new club information into Banner and Journal Voucher Corrections.
- Process deposits through Touchnet software.
- Communicate daily with Purchasing Office personnel regarding documents provided for check requests, Costco Card requests, and purchase orders.
- Process reimbursements through Emburse Enterprises software.
- Assists in managing the student government association budget of approximately $350,000.
- Assist Assistant Dean of Student & Parent Engagement with coordination and execution of College-wide events led by the Office of Student Engagement. (Ex. Family Weekend, SOAR, Leadership retreats etc.)
- Carry out diverse office duties such as processing paperwork, and using a multi-line phone (directing calls to appropriate personnel and answering inquiries).
- Oversee office supplies, inventory, and equipment
Qualifications
- High School Diploma required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Education, or related field preferred.
- At least 3 years of work-related experience required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Effective keyboarding skills and knowledge of related software including knowledge with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint). Quickbooks, Banner, Touchnet, Google documents and google sheets. Must have excellent grammar skills and telephone etiquette. Excellent customer service skills; or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
