Job description

Student Assistant, Donor Relations

The Student Assistant supports the Donor Relations team under general guidance by preparing donor correspondence, including postcards, letters and ThankView video messages to thank donors. The Student Assistant also creates and executes ThankView video campaigns and maintains donor communication records by regularly updating tracking tools. The Student Assistant also contributes to special projects for Sun Devil Gratitude Week and Sun Devil Giving Day and supports additional Donor Relations projects throughout the year.

This role requires a commitment of approximately 15-20 hours per week.

What you'll do:
  • Hours available for this position are 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday (shared hours)

  • Student hours will be arranged according to their school schedule, working up to 20 hours per week

  • Prepare weekly and monthly donor correspondence (postcards, letters and ThankView messages)

  • Create and deliver ThankView video campaigns

  • Maintain accurate records of donor communication records

  • Assist with mailings and special projects as assigned

  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and responsibility regarding information related to Enterprise Partners, its subsidiaries and University business and confidential prospect information

  • Strong and collegial interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively in person, in writing, and by phone

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

  • Problem solver who can take initiative and set priorities while being flexible

  • Team-oriented strategist able to effectively manage complex situations involving numerous and sometimes competing constituencies

  • Ability to represent the institution well and possess an advocate's belief in the vision of ASU as the New American University

  • Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing assigned duties

  • Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects

  • Adept at navigating complex environments with evolving priorities and communication plans

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of products

  • A current student at Arizona State University with a willingness to learn and ability to work well with others.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Familiarity with recording and editing short videos using tools such as iMovie, Adobe Premiere Pro, Canva or similar platforms.
