Building confidence gradually and maintaining open communication with instructors can make the learning process smoother and more enjoyable.

What are student drivers?

Student drivers are individuals who are learning how to operate a motor vehicle, typically under the supervision of a licensed instructor or an experienced driver. They are usually in the process of fulfilling requirements to obtain their driver's license, which may involve completing classroom instruction, behind-the-wheel training, and passing written and practical driving tests. Student drivers often display 'Student Driver' signs on their vehicles to alert others that they are still learning. Their main goal is to gain the skills and knowledge necessary to drive safely and legally.

What trucking companies take student drivers?

Many trucking companies hire student drivers, often offering training programs for individuals with a valid learner's permit or minimal experience. These companies typically require drivers to obtain a commercial learner's permit (CLP) and may provide mentorship and on-the-road training to help new drivers gain experience and earn their commercial driver's license (CDL).
