Core Responsibilities
  • Create Local Brand Awareness
  • Drive Membership Growth & Retention
  • Build & Manage Community Partnerships
  • Support Event Sales Team
  • Capture & Organize Content
  • Manage In-Venue & Promotional Assets
  • Develop Influencer & Ambassador Relationships
  • Maintain the Local Events Calendar
  • Manage Online Presence & Google Reviews
  • Drive Guest Engagement
  • Track Marketing Performance & Reporting
Community Presence

Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with local businesses, youth sports organizations, schools, chambers of commerce, hotels, apartment communities, nonprofits, and other community partners.

  • Identify and execute partnership opportunities through sponsorships, fundraisers, networking events, festivals, and community activations that generate measurable awareness, guest traffic, memberships, and event leads.
  • Maintain an active presence in the local community, including during evenings and weekends when events, partnerships, and promotional opportunities are most impactful.
  • Collaborate with Venue Leadership and Corporate Marketing to secure approval for sponsorships, budgets, and promotional opportunities.
  • Represent PopStroke at local events and serve as the venue's brand ambassador to strengthen community awareness and engagement.
  • In college markets, manage relationships and partnerships with local universities, including student organizations, athletics, campus departments, alumni groups, and Greek life, to drive brand awareness, memberships, group events, and student engagement.
Digital Marketing
  • Capture and organize high-quality local photo and video content for use across social media, email, digital advertising, and corporate marketing channels.
  • Manage the venue's Facebook page, including content publishing, guest engagement, event promotion, and community interaction.
  • Manage the local influencer program, including identifying local creators, coordinating hosted visits, managing select free memberships, and cultivating long‑term relationships.
  • Ensure all local marketing collateral, digital assets, menus, promotional materials, signage, and venue information remain current and accurate.
  • Maintain accurate business information, photos, and promotions across online listings, including Google Business Profile, Chambers of Commerce, CVBs, tourism websites, and other local directories.
  • Monitor Google reviews daily and respond professionally to guest feedback while partnering with Operations to address opportunities for improvement.
Marketing Operations
  • Maintain a regular presence in the venue each week to support membership sales, events, partnerships and high‑traffic times in coordination with the operating team where you can have the greatest impact on the business.
  • Partner closely with Venue Leadership during peak periods to engage guests, promote memberships and events, activate local marketing initiatives, capture content, gather guest feedback, and identify real‑time opportunities to drive traffic and revenue.
  • Balance in‑venue marketing with external market activation, spending time in the community during nights and weekends when events, partnerships, and promotional opportunities are most impactful.
  • Operate as an active extension of the venue team—not simply as a behind‑the‑scenes marketing resource—jumping in during critical business periods to help create energy, build relationships, and drive the guest experience.
  • Support membership acquisition, retention, and engagement by fostering member relationships, driving referrals and repeat visitation, and executing member-exclusive events in collaboration with Operations to deliver exceptional member experiences.
  • Own the local marketing calendar, ensuring alignment between corporate campaigns, venue events, community partnerships, holidays, and seasonal promotions.
  • Collaborate monthly with the Event Sales Team to generate leads, support bookings, and maximize local event opportunities.
  • Maintain organized databases of partnerships, marketing contacts, influencers, and community organizations.
  • Track marketing performance and prepare monthly reporting on key initiatives, partnerships, memberships, events, and promotional results.
Estimated Time Per Area
  • Community Presence: 40%
  • Digital Marketing: 25%
  • Marketing Operations: 25%
  • Miscellaneous: 10%
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Hospitality, or a related field preferred.
  • 1–2 years of experience in marketing, community engagement, hospitality, event marketing, or business development.
  • Strong networking, communication, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Experience with social media and influencer marketing preferred.
  • Ability to travel within the defined market.
  • This role requires a flexible schedule aligned with the needs of the business.
