Campus/Location:ย North Campus (may occasionally require travel to Lakeshore Campus)

Salary:ย Payband: E; Salary Range: $29.83 - $34.42; Starting Salary: $29.83

Progression through the payband is in accordance with the increments in the payband as outline in the Full-Time Support Staff Collective Agreement based on actual service in the payband.ย 

About the Student Wellness and Equitable Learning department at Humber:
The Student Wellness and Equitable Learning (SWEL) department is dedicated to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment where every student can thrive. The cross-functional team includes Student Connection and Community Care, Residence Life and Education, Accessible Learning Services, Mental Health Services, Clinical Services, and Health Promotion. The SWEL team offer services across all Humber Polytechnic/University of Guelph-Humber campuses.

About the Student Connection & Community Care Project Assistant Role:

Reporting to the Manager, Student Connection & Community Care, the incumbent provides comprehensive administrative support to the unit (including the Care Coordinator team and the Office of Student Community Standards), with responsibilities spanning incident management, case records, and background checks, as well as liaison with campus partners. The role also includes analyzing data, producing reports on trends and service utilization, and supporting the use of the Advocate case management system.

In addition, the Assistant supports institutional committees and policies, including the Committee for Preventing and Responding to Sexual Violence and the Student Death Response Policy, while assisting with policy and procedure revisions. The role leads unit outreach, communications, and promotional efforts, represents the office at Humber/UofGH events, and provides administrative and event support for Student Wellness & Equitable Learning. More broadly, the Assistant contributes to advancing the goals of Student Success & Engagement and ensuring a safe, supportive, and engaging student experience.

Education

A two-year (2) diploma in a discipline that is related and transferable to the role (e.g., Paralegal Education, Law Clerk, Justice Studies, Education, Social Work, Human Resources), or equivalent combination of relevant experience and education.

Experience and Skills

Minimum 2-3 years of professional experience working in a post-secondary environment. Equivalent combination of education, professional development/training, and experience will be considered.ย ย
