Full-Time Paraprofessional
Rush City Schools is seeking full-time paraprofessional to join our team at CE Jacobson Elementary and Rush City High School for the 2026 2027 school year.
This position is approximately 7 hours per day and provides direct support to students and classroom staff. Paraeducators work collaboratively with teachers and other school staff to help students succeed academically, socially, and behaviorally.
Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized and small-group support to students.
  • Assist students with academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
  • Support classroom instruction and student activities under the direction of licensed staff.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, special education staff, and other members of the school team.
  • Help students develop independence and successfully participate in the school environment.
  • Maintain a positive, respectful, and supportive learning environment.

Qualifications
  • Two years of college education or the ability to successfully pass the ParaPro Assessment.
  • Previous experience working with students is preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong communication, patience, flexibility, and a commitment to student success.
