Minimum Qualifications
Position Summary
This position will work with the Fountain Lab at the UGA Griffin Campus to assist in performing mycotoxin and postharvest pathogen research. The candidate will help with planting, maintenance, harvesting, sample collection, and processing for field and greenhouse-based corn and peanut experiments in Griffin and South Georgia. The candidate will also help with normal laboratory operations including cleaning, upkeep, media preparation, and basic lab procedures. The candidate will also be encouraged to develop an independent research project.
Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification in Position
High School Graduate. Currently enrolled in college.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies
Some experience working with field crops or in experimental plots. Also some experience working in a laboratory setting.
Physical Demands
Standing and working in summer heat. Lift 30lbs. Driving as needed to perform job duties.
