About the Position

An established, regional not-for-profit healthcare system in Dothan, Alabama is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its growing Emergency Department team as a Nocturnist.

This is an excellent opportunity to become part of one of the largest healthcare organizations in Southeast Alabama, serving patients across Alabama, Florida, and Georgia. Position Highlights:

  • Full-time Emergency Department Nocturnist
  • 8:00 PM – 8:00 AM schedule
  • Provide emergency care to patients of all ages in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting
  • Perform advanced clinical assessments, diagnose and treat acute illnesses and injuries, order and interpret diagnostic testing, perform procedures within scope of practice, and collaborate closely with emergency physicians and multidisciplinary staff
  • Work within established clinical protocols while exercising a high degree of autonomy

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Nursing as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) or Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Current NCCPA certification (PA) or NP certification
  • Active Alabama license and DEA (or ability to obtain)
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
