Job Description
Psychology is one of Augsburg's largest majors, this position would provide administrative support to the department and students within the department.
Psychology Research/Department Assistant work includes:
  • Provide administrative/clerical support to psychology faculty.
  • Assist with departmental events.
  • Maintain departmental databases (e.g., psychology graduates and psychology internships).
  • Maintain research lab environment and equipment.
  • Maintain and organize departmental spaces (e.g., public posting board, Psych Home, supply room).
  • Assist faculty, students and participants with their research needs such as recruiting, scheduling and testing participants, preparing study materials, coding and entering data.
  • Assist with departmental space and lab scheduling.

Work Load:
  • 5 hours per week, flexible scheduling,

Work-study eligible students welcome.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Rate of Pay: $16.45/hour
  • Minnesota Sick and Safe Time
  • Not eligible for health insurance benefits

Qualifications
  • Students must be currently enrolled at Augsburg and must be work-study eligible.
  • Responsible, organized, and detail-oriented
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to get tasks done efficiently and independently, and to show initiative in doing so
  • Desire to learn more about psychology major and research in psychology
  • Basic skills in Google and Microsoft Office Suite software
