Job description

Assistant Nurse Manager
We're looking for an Assistant Nurse Manager to join our team! In this role, you'll create and achieve goals for your department, communicate effectively with staff, department heads, and families, and maintain organized records for licensing and audits to ensure compliance with state regulations. You'll supervise your team, provide guidance, and work directly with students, all while reporting to the Nurse Manager. Compensation: $75,000-$93,750 (based on experience)
Location: Brewster, MA
Schedule: Monday-Friday 10:00a-6:00pm (Flexible)
Key Responsibilities:
  • In conjunction with the Nurse Manager supervises RNs, LPNs, CNAs, Medical Assistants
  • Assist in coordinating medication administration recertification with medication-trained staff.
  • In collaboration with the Director of Training provide opportunities for in-service training or continuing education credits to nursing staff.
  • Work directly with individuals providing quality care. Maintains caseload of primary students.
  • assist in direct care capacity as needed with the focus on covering for vacations, call outs and additional needs due to acuity of population.
  • Provide day to day supervision and support to nursing staff.
  • Shared Responsibilities:
  • Completion of MDT's and Quarterly Health Care Reports in conjunction with the assigned primary nurse.
  • Communication to parents/guardians regarding pertinent medical issues.
  • Liaison between hospital and Latham Centers during ER or inpatient hospitalizations.
  • On-call rotation

Requirements:
  • Must be a Registered Nurse(RN) in the state of Massachusetts.
  • Minimum degree of Associates in nursing required
  • Experience working with children with a range of needs
  • 1 year of supervisory experience preferred
