Trotter & Morton Building Technologies Inc. is currently looking for hardworking, committed Experienced and Beginner Communication Technicians for full-time commercial work in Calgary, AB.

Roles and Responsibilities

·       Install and service structured cabling infrastructure and devices for Data and Audio-Visual; includes pre-wiring, installation, termination, testing, reporting, and labeling per specifications and drawings

·       Install network racks and cabinets in server rooms

·       Ensure that safety and incident reporting procedures are followed

·       Complete detailed and accurate paperwork

·       Interact with customers and prospects, ensuring all inquiries are handled professionally

·       Perform other tasks as required

Required Skills

·       Post-secondary education in electrical, telecommunications, or electronics would be an asset

·       Flexibility to work in a variety of environments, from construction areas to finished offices

·       Physical ability to perform the requirements of the job, including pulling cable on a regular basis

·       Comfortable working at heights

·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·       Strong problem-solving skills

Required Experience

·       Experience with structured cabling as a Communication Technician considered an asset, will consider qualified technicians and beginners

·       High School Diploma, or equivalent

·       Experience in a construction environment

·       Experience in commercial construction is an asset
