About the Role
Trofholz Technologies, Inc. is seeking a skilled and motivated Lead Electronic Security Systems (ESS) Installation Technician who is ready to take ownership, lead by example, and advance their career in the physical security industry.

In this role, you will lead the installation, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and support of integrated electronic security systems, including Access Control, Video Surveillance (CCTV), Intrusion Detection, structured cabling, and supporting network infrastructure.

What You Will Do
  • Lead the installation, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic security systems
  • Install and terminate copper and fiber-optic cabling infrastructure
  • Install, configure, and support Access Control, CCTV, Intrusion Detection, and related security technologies
  • Install and support servers, workstations, network devices, and supporting infrastructure
  • Set up and program security system communications networks
  • Perform system commissioning, functional testing, and quality assurance inspections
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, cabling, and network-related issues
  • Create and maintain installation, testing, and maintenance documentation
  • Coordinate with project managers, customers, subcontractors, and other trades to ensure successful project execution
  • Support and mentor junior technicians while maintaining quality and safety standards
  • Travel to project sites as required to support customer and project needs

What You Bring
Required:
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent technical training
  • Minimum 3 years of experience installing low-voltage systems, including Access Control, CCTV, Intrusion Detection, and structured cabling
  • Experience installing and supporting Lenel Access Control Systems
  • Experience supporting Milestone Video Management Systems and AXIS camera platforms
  • Experience installing and terminating copper and fiber-optic cabling systems
  • Knowledge of low-voltage electronics, wiring methods, and industry color standards
  • Understanding of electrical components, power supplies, and system connectivity
  • Experience working in construction environments and coordinating with multiple trades
  • Familiarity with electrical and communications testing equipment
  • Basic networking knowledge and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to travel approximately 50%
  • Ability to obtain a federal government security clearance
  • Ability to pass DMV, drug screening, and background verification requirements

Preferred:
  • Experience supporting federal government projects or agencies
  • Military technical experience or honorable military service
  • Understanding of communications networks and advanced network troubleshooting
  • Experience leading installation teams or mentoring junior technicians
  • Industry certifications related to security systems, networking, structured cabling, or low-voltage systems
