Job Description
Low Voltage communications cabling contracting company looking for technicians with a background in the VOICE, DATA, SECURITY, A/V, CCTV, FIBER OPTIC industries.
Minimum of 1 year experience with installing, terminating and testing cabling for low voltage applications.
Duties include:
- Installation and terminations of various types of low voltage cable systems such as VOICE/ DATA, A/V, SECURITY, CCTV.
- Building of communication rooms/closets with equipment racks and cable management systems.
- Perform moves, adds and changes (MAC) on existing communication cable plants from single floor to campus environments. Should be able to read floor plans/ drawings and interface with clients.
Qualifications
Candidate(s) should posses the following:
- Ability to work and communicate clearly with co workers, clients and other trades. Willingness to work overtime
- Experience with Structured Cabling, A/V, Access Control, Terminations, Programming, Networking, Automation and control works
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including communication with clients
- Own basic tools and equipment, and be able to use all needed tools for routing, securing, and terminating wire and wiring harnesses, mounting equipment
- Job sites are in NYC area - Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx, Long Island
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Maintain organized paper work including Work Orders, Time Sheets, Cable Test Results etc.
- Self-starter, punctual, professional, and works well independently
- Must have a clean/neat appearance.
- Candidates will have Federal Sponsored background checks required.
Additional Information
Experience and Education Required:
  • High School Diploma

Compensation depends on experience and could always be negotiable after a performance evaluation after the first year.
