Job description

Overview of the Role
Groove Technology Solutions is seeking a Structured Cabling Estimator to join our Digital Infrastructure team. This individual will be responsible for producing accurate cost estimates and material specifications for wired infrastructure projects, supporting sales teams through the quoting and scoping process.
*This position requires you work in person at our Midvale, Utah office*
What You'll Do
  • Produce cost estimates, quotes, and material take-offs for structured cabling projects (fiber, GPON, CAT5/6/7, coaxial, hardline)
  • Read blueprints and construction documents to develop project scopes and wiring diagrams
  • Join sales calls to provide technical scoping support and answer infrastructure questions in real time
  • Build and maintain quoting calculators and budget templates for structured cabling work
  • Meet weekly goals and KPIs, and maintain proficiency in Salesforce, Procore, and Bluebeam

What You Bring
  • Minimum 4 years experience designing, installing, and testing low voltage systems in the construction industry
  • Strong background in low voltage cable infrastructure
  • Strong sales communication skills - able to translate technical infrastructure concepts for non-technical stakeholders (property managers, developers, owners) in live call settings
  • Proficiency in CRM systems (Salesforce), blueprint reading, and digital construction tools (Bluebeam, Procore)
  • Experience creating quotes, budgets, and quoting calculators for structured cabling projects
  • Proven ability to meet KPIs and manage construction-related software
  • RCDD certification a plus, not required
