Job Description

The Management Analyst II position supports the Plant Maintenance Department at Hilo Benioff Medical Center by assisting with daily operations, data analysis, reporting, project coordination, and process improvement initiatives. This position helps evaluate operational needs, maintain maintenance management systems, prepare reports and financial documentation, and support projects designed to improve efficiency and service delivery across the facility.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate documentation for Joint Commission Environment of Care, Life Safety, and Emergency Management requirements, including paper and electronic records.
  • Monitor, assign, and update maintenance tickets, assets, and projects within the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), and develop dashboards and reports to track productivity and performance.
  • Prepare and maintain operational reports, meeting materials, invoices, budgets, and financial documentation; research and resolve discrepancies as needed.
  • Collect, analyze, and present operational, financial, and performance data through reports, presentations, graphs, and charts to support management decision-making.
  • Assist with product ordering, annual budget analysis, forecasting, and other administrative functions supporting Plant Maintenance, renovations, grounds, safety and security, and related departments.
  • Lead or assist with small- to medium-scale projects and process improvement initiatives designed to enhance staff capabilities, reduce operational costs, and improve policies, procedures, practices, and controls.


Education, Experience & Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduation from an accredited college or university.
  • Experience: Six (6) months of work experience involving the analysis and evaluation of managerial policies, systems, methods, and practices, including the development and/or improvement of such processes.
  • Specialized Experience: None required.
  • Certification: None required.
  • Licensure: None required.
  • Additional Skills: Ability to gather, organize, correlate, and analyze information; prepare clear and effective reports and presentations; create graphs and charts; learn management principles and techniques; understand organizational structures and procedures; and exercise sound judgment, tact, and professionalism when working with others.
